Finding Balance

I know that I have not be around the blog too much lately, but I have been feeling a bit out of balance.  I am a schedule type person and now that full-time language classes are over, we have been adjusting to a much less structured schedule.  We have been  meeting with pastors, possible ministry partners and prayerwalking in different areas of the city.  No two days look alike and I am learning anew to discipline myself each day and anticipate and look forward to the blessings, big and small, that God gives.  When we were preparing to move overseas, God gave me the following verse to assure me that He would be with me through it all.  Lately He has been reminding me that He gives me the strength to stand and holds me up when I feel out of balance.

"Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."  (Isaiah 41:10)

Quiet Saturday Morning in Porto

I set out with my camera early Saturaday morning to catch the city as it was waking.
Downtown Cafe

Fresh Pastries

Early Morning Walk

Camara Municipal (county court house)

Sidewalk Cafe

The soccer stadium at sunrise.

Picture of the Week

Saturady morning I met 2 friends at a downtown cafe called the "Galeria de Paris".  It was such a fun little cafe with a great breakfast.  The building used to be a mercantile store of sorts and its shelves were filled with a variety of old items.  It looked as if everyone had cleaned out their attics and dumped it all at the cafe.  There was even a car in the corner!
