On The Road

Sorry that we have not updated lately. We have been so busy. The moving truck came last Wednesday and took our "stuff" to be crated. Andy and I commented that we moved to Morristown in a transfer-trailer truck with the basketball goal and grill strapped to the back. When the truck left all it had was our living room furniture and 14 boxes. Now that is down-sizing!!! We are now living out of 10 duffel bags and making it just fine.

The boys finished school on Friday and they both had good send-off parties. Micah's homeroom and band classes surprised him with parties and we took a cookie cake for Ethan's class. On Saturday we went to Knoxville for Micah's last soccer game with the the STRIKERS. He scored the 1st goal and they won 2 to 1. We had a small picnic afterwards and had to say more good-byes.

We are now on the road and in West Tn with Andy's family. We were able to go to the park today and had a good time. We will be here a few days and then back to Morristown to tie up a few loose ends before leaving on October 7 for Michelle's family, A quick vacation in D.C. and then on to Richmond.

The next few weeks will be busy, but we will try to update when we can.

A few PTL!!!
*Michelle's cholesterol is down. NO more blood work.
*We have been approved for our Visas.

Prayer Requests
*Safe travel and good family times.
*Michelle's grandmother has taken a turn for the worse. Please remember the family as her time with us draws to a close.

CELEBRATE

Wow!!! What a wonderful evening. We were so blessed last night as our church commissioned us. The service was more than we could have expected and the fellowship time afterwards was beyond words. To our Alpha Church family - There will never be enough time or words to describe how we feel about you. For the last 7 years you have loved us, supported us, worked along side us and cared for us. You have become family to us. You are a part of who we are. Know that we carry your heart for missions with us to Portugal and that you will be a vital part of our ministry as you partner with us in prayer and in coming. To Brad and Angie - WOW, we were so surprised! Friends like you all come along so rarely. The Lake Gang will always be family no matter where we all are. Thanks for being with us and for the pictures. To our families - it was a wonderful blessing to have you all with us at this special time. We are so thankful for supportive families as we continue on this journey. We look forward to the time we will spend with you over the next few weeks. Enjoy the slide show below - special thanks to Granny and Brad for the pictures. Also attached is our Prayer Card - thanks to Wendy Winn for taking the picture.

How many Milams does it take?

Today was piano moving day. What an adventure!!! It took 6 of us to get it out the door, down the sidewalk and into the trailer.

SOLD!!!

As of 4 o'clock today our house is officially sold. It was with mixed emotions, but we know that God sent the right family and we are so blessed that we can rent "our" house until we leave in October. God has knit all the pieces together as only he can so that everything is perfect. When we returned home the boys quickly took the sign out of the yard. Thank you to all of you who have prayed that we sell, meet our deadline, and leave the house with a good family. Your prayers have been heard and answered with God's abundance.
