To the End of the World

A few weekends ago we had a wonderful opportunity to lead worship in an International Church in Lagos, Portugal. This is a small beach town in the far southern part of Portugal. While there, we visited some new beaches. They were so beautiful and very different from the beaches near Lisbon. Later in the weekend we visited a city called Sagres. This is where Henry the Navigator built a navigation school for many of the early explorers. When everyone thought the world was flat, this was thought to be the end of the world. When you look at the pictures you can see why they believed it. All that can be seen is water, water, water! I cannot imagine how much courage it took for those early navigators to sail off into the unknown.
